577 Minie Bullet

#1 Post by Triffid »

Can anyone recommend a source of 577 Minie bullets for an Enfield rifle or a good mould to use? I'm looking for one with a deeper cavity than the Lee mould.

Thanks

The best Minie moulds I have are the RCBS, the Lymans and the Moose moulds Old Style Minie. Lyman Minie moulds have had differing plug sizes over the years. Their New Style mould has the deepest cavity currently of their line up.

I rarely shoot Minies now preferring the 0.550" Pritchet cartridge
