Can anyone advise what to lubricate dry felt wads with?

Beeswax/tallow. 50/50.

The above is the traditional (around a long time before Elmer was even thought of but an Elmer endorsements speaks volumes for its efficacy) and works very well.

I also like to use dry lubed wads in my revolvers, soak them in Aquoil (1 part Youngs 303 to 3 parts water) and let them dry this is also my favourite patch lube.
