I use 4.5 grains of Trailboss behind a 158 grain cast bullet however I might be in a minority.

3.2gr fast pistol powder (I use an old batch of Zero powder) and 150gr boolit for a 38 special velocity
For higher velocity 357 loads I'd use Blue dot or Viht 340 behind the same cast boolit
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

:) I've just finished up some Zero powder - donkeys years old but still ok. Blue dot was a regular and I'm currently using Unique.

Depends on what you want..??

Gallery rifle loads that fall out the back of the target at 25yds, or full factory magnum loads

I only load light target, so RedDot, Bullseye, Vit 310 or 320, Accurate #2... anything around that speed.

For the full factory magnums, you want something slower, Unique or 2400.

Gallery loads, Tightgroup. Full house magnum, 2400.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
