Clay Grounds near Bristol?

#1 Post by strangesam »

Hallo,

I've tried the search function, google, but failed to find anything.

Can anyone recommend any clay grounds/clubs easily accessible from North Bristol, suitable for a single shooter.

I've shot at Mendip and Braces, but would like somewhere that doesn't take an hour+ to drive to if possible (I live near the bottom of the M32 and work at the top). I've a nice SP1 sitting in my cabinet very underused as I struggle to make the time to drive to and from the grounds when they're open.

Don't know of anything closer than Braces tbh. A few guys from our club go to http://www.brookbankshooting.co.uk/ from time to time but that's just as far as Mendip.

Probobly to far for you.
It's about a hour and 20 min from Bristol over the bridge in Wales.

It's called South Wales 2000 suitable for all shooters like yourself, with most disciplines you would want to shoot.

Again probobly a little far but worth a mention.

Another would be again over the bridge in Wales but occasionally severnside rifle range hold a clay shoot and that is literaly 5 min after you cross the Severn bridge. But having not shot clays there don't have alot of info.

Good luck
Happy shooting.
