Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.

If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

It's the way they do it so let them get on with it. Although the pig appeared to die fairly quickly once they've caught up with it i'm just not a fan of hunting with dogs because of the stress caused before the kill. Advertising/making videos of this sort of hunting doesn't do anyone any favours IMHO

Gun rhymes with fun.

We are constrained only by the rules of safety and our own imagination.

Apart from give the 'anti brigades' some free propaganda ammunition and more financial contributions!

Fairly common way of hunting feral pigs in Australia - two to four dogs (with body armour!) to bail up the pig and then the pig is killed with a knife.

http://apdha.org.au/index.php?page=code-of-conduct
Option 2
Dogs control the pig to enable the hunter to grasp and restrain the pig so that a single knife stick to the heart can dispatch it. (See diagram a below for knife placement). Knife must be of good quality with a steel blade with a minimum blade length of 170mm.
To ensure that the welfare of the pig is considered at all times, training in these procedures is essential to ensure the procedure is efficient and effective.
