Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.
If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

Which vacuum sealer?
We are on the look out for a vacuum sealer, can anyone recommend one or have any experience with them?
Re: Which vacuum sealer?
I use mine a lot. I got a Eifell and use it for pre packed camping foods to meat storage. Have quite a bit of experience using them as long as you are looking for the bag type!

Re: Which vacuum sealer?
I forgot to update this. We opted for an Eiffel Freshpack Pro and it is absolutely superb, well recommended.

Good bit of kit, I buy a side of beef, pig and lamb once sometimes twice a year and seal it all up for the freezer once it's broken down. Great for fish and game as well, we have this one which handles the big bags for roast joints. They save a small fortune in food.
