If you meant to ask can you shoot boar with solid slug in this country then the answer is yes. However some forces are reluctant to grant permission for this and prefer you to use a rifle of suitable calibre.

I don't know where that came from but I'm fairly sure that you have been misinformed. Boar are coming over into Monmouthshire from the Forest of Dean and into southern Powys from Herefordshire but not in any great numbers as yet as far as I know. There is a cull on in the FoD but that is on FC ground and is carried out by their rangers and no help is required.

You can always try your firearms department for the necessary permission but they will require evidence that you have a need before granting the necessary variation.
