Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.

If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

Shooting Holidays

#1 Post by meles meles »

We're feeling that we have earned a rest from running the mighty Badger Korporashun (http://www.badgercorporation.com) and so are pondering taking a little holiday in October or thereabouts. We'd be bored sitting by a pool sippin' gin, so a shooting holiday springs to mind. Maybe hunting boar in Germany or Slovakia, havin' a quick blat with an automatic in the Czech republic or stalking in Cyprus.

What would you oomans recommend ?

Any of those sound interesting...there's something about boar hunting that appeals (possibly because I like bacon...) - or what about the US?...looks like quite a few forum members have had some cool shooting holidays over there...

Boar hunting is ace. Just make sure you use a professional outfit and I'd stear clear of the former east german-Russian border. Have you considered elk in Scandinavia and Croatia was particularly good last year.

Gator Hunting? Is it not catch them on a baited line then shoot them in the head at point blank range????
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
