They actually test them like this at the Kalashnikov Concern plant (formerly Izhmash) in the city of Izhevsk as well, AKs are tested in the same way as are the civilian Tigr and Saiga rifles.

The handbook for my Dragunov has OTK inspection stamps for various stages of the assembly process including temperature and accuracy testing and numerous signatures for the lubricating and packing processes and had an itemised list of the parts it was ordered with (different length barrels and different spec furniture etc can be specified by special ordered) and the items it was shipped with such as spare magazines, firing pin springs, cleaning kit and sling etc

Dragunov SVD assembly, all SVD receivers, bolts and bolt carriers etc are hand finished.......


PSO-1 scopes await being matched to a Dragunov....the last four digits of the rifles serial number goes on the scope mount and the scope serial number goes on the rifles stock......
