How do I post a picture. All seems very complicated

I just save the pictures on my desk top then drag them into the forum. Easy.

There is a "How To" sticky in the Pictues/You Tube forum on here.

Tried that didn't work, covered picture on the desk top with left click of mouse. kept pressure on and dragged to forum, But, didn't work.
