Parker Hale sights for smle

#1 Post by Malcy »

Hi is the Parker Hale Plus 5 folding sight particularly rare. I have seen mention of it but cannot find any having been offered or sold anywhere. Any information about this one would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I know about the 5A but if you look on the pages you suggest looking at there is a later model 1939 I think called the 5 Plus. This model folded to facilitate bolt removal etc and it was this one I was asking about. Many thanks.

you will also need to find the right mounting plate. I think your best bet is asking round the dealer at something like the Trafalgar held at Bisley in Oct

The Parker Plus 5 is similar but more robust, I had one on my 1905 Sht le.
I would suggest that they are scarce bordering on rare these days, in fact when I sold mine some 12 years ago I don't think I've seen one since.
