And they are an appalling company....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I know that I am going to sound like a scratched record on this but the mess that Remington have made selling into the UK market is staggering.

Go back a few years and they were sitting pretty selling in effect the Ford Focus of bolt action rifles the Remington 700, the go to choice for an affordable off the shelf rifle with plenty of accessories both factory and after market. Getting one repaired was easy as many gun smiths have cut their teeth on that rifle and if you wanted a platform for a project then it was the only choice for many!

It is now so difficult to get one off Remington UK that people are looking elsewhere and either getting them direct from the States or looking at different platforms like the Howa 1500.
