It says it is the Home Office who has issued this consultation. I do wonder if there is a person there with a chip on his/her shoulder since they keep trying this nonsense of billing the shooters and not the taxpayer.
Since when?High risk activities

Fear not, no doubt BASC the wonder org will come to the rescue of shooting, shooters and gun owners yet again.
Just like they did when we got shafted on the fees issue.

£470 for an "Olympic Shooter".
And I thought the Government supported the Olympics.
We can each send in a reply to the consultation

Sent to the Lincolnshire PCC and BASC...I'll post here if I get a reply.Hi, just curious where the Commissioner and his office stand on the consultation that was released today by the Home Office.

I am not impressed about the proposal re increase in fees based on the tax payer not having to pay and that it is a "high risk" activity. As far as I know no deaths have occurred by legally held firearms. Also this matter was mentioned last year so obviously something the Home Office is under pressure to do something about, by whom I wonder. The tax payer is funding a lot of activities, so why not this one which supports a very active industry, the museums alone are a wealth of knowledge and history. Regards, Christel Andersen.

If that goes through unchanged, that will kill a lot of the smaller clubs, mine included
