Saddler did indeed send guns to my RFD for transfer to me by Royal Mail. One s1 and two s2!
Really handy and especially welcome as I didn't have to meet up face to face with the bugly fastard....!!

Re: New RFD shipping cost
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: New RFD shipping cost
RFD near Newcastle quoted me £35 plus £20 postage fee.

Re: New RFD shipping cost
I have just sold a rifle to a non local RFD, he has paid me for the rifle + the shipping cost of £50 for my RFD to pack the rifle for me in one of their shipping boxes and do all the paperwork. That is my RFD's standard charge for packing & shipping a firearm such as a rifle.
Re: New RFD shipping cost
I payed it as I had no other option I don't have a car and only found out how much it would be when I got my rifle to the shop and I didn't want to take the rifle all the way back home. Here in London they charge you £50 to send via RFD normally in hind sight it would have been cheaper for me to have got a train to an RFD in brightion who charges £25dromia wrote:I use Parcel Force and as far as I am aware their prices are still as they were, send stuff every week and haven't noticed an increase. It is nowhere near £75, maybe it is my pricing that is wrong and I should charge £75 for sending a gun as people are obviously willing to pay it.
Thank you for that.
