Cambs telephone renewal

#1 Post by 20series »

My second FAC renewal is up in Feb (blimey 15 years teanews ), I sent all the paper work in beginning of December.

Just had a call from my FEO and he sorted it all over the phone, including a couple of slots for a second .22RF and a .260Rem :good: :good: :good: apparently my cert should be in the post shortly cheers cheers cheers cheers

How simple is that, much respect to them for a sensible approach shakeshout shakeshout shakeshout shakeshout

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Second renewal at 15 years? Surely that should be your third ...

Seems as though some authorities take a sensible view with long standing customers. Mine was a 10 minute visit mainly to speak about one particular S5 that I own and he seemed to need to be in my area for some reason. And my cert was with me about 3 days later.

Maybe Cambs and the Met could get together and bid to take on Thames Valley's operations in place of G4Slow.

So, Grant to Renewal 1 >>> 5 years
Renewal 1 to Renewal 2 >>> 5 years

Total 10.

My last renewal was just a phone interview. I wasn't adding anything extra and hadn't changed any security arrangements so it was pretty straightforward. The only thing mentioned was carrying slots across from my last certificate that I hadn't bought yet, but that turned into a conversation about the EU being bar stewards and not having a clue about guns so it was all good!
