Chronograph
Can any give me some advice on a chronograph please, I'd like something that could fit multiple rifles and fits on the end of the barrel, is easy to use and transport and won't break the bank.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Chronograph
Not sure how big your bank is but I have a MagnetoSpeed v3
Seems to work very nicely, at least for me.

Re: Chronograph
I have a MagenetoSpeed V3 as well, it's excellent, but they're not cheap.

Re: Chronograph
I have a Magnetospeed too. It's the only one I know of that fits on the end of the barrel.
I used to have a Shooting Chrony but it was a pain to set up and keep working as the sky colour changed.

Re: Chronograph
That's the sort of thing I am after, price is a little bit more than I wanted to spend. May have to re think my options.
thanks anyway

Re: Chronograph
The magnetospeed sporter is cheaper @ £195, the V3 is £375.

Re: Chronograph
Plus 1 for Magnetospeed. It will certainly fit most rifles, even with moderators, and because it fits on the rifle you don't have to place any equipment down range of the firing point which I find to be a huge advantage. I bought mine from March Scopes who seem to be a very nice company to deal with.RobB wrote:Not sure how big your bank is but I have a MagnetoSpeed v3

Re: Chronograph
I had a Magneto Speed for a while but was pretty unreliable with cast bullets and black powder. Worked fine with condom bullets/smokeless, can be a bugger to fit to some fore ends/muzzles as well.
I went back to my PACT and my CED, the Magneto Speed would have been a bit easier on the set up if it had worked for my applications but as it didn't then the skyscreen models are just fine.
I had a Steinert and found it very handy but it is a bit fragile and broke easily, if they were more robust I would get another one however they don't work with subsonic rounds.
I am considering a LabRadar but as yet haven't been able to justify the cost when I have two perfectly functional chronos that serve me well, if some thing happened to them then the LabRadar is the way I would go
