ONE of the last Battle of Britain spitfire pilots has passed away aged 99.
He had a good innings for sure. Can't be many of them left, I hope all their memories have been recorded somehow.

Brave people - who some say died needlessly given where we are now.

The Few are indeed getting ever fewer ...... the youngest of them back in 1940 would now be around 95/96.

I've been privileged to have met quite a few of them in the years past, both RAF and Luftwaffe.

Rip Percy. I wonder if they will be remembered in 200 years time.

Buck 52 :good: :good: :good:

We have to because the snowflake generation would see them wiped from the history books. As it is those in their thirties right now haven't a clue what it was all about.

We can tell our children and lets hope they do the same with theirs because we certainly will not be around to do so.

That reminds me, how many of us have ancient pictures of dead relatives without names or information written on the backs of them?
