New Zombie Shotgun

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

New Zombie Shotgun

CZ getting in on the act:

http://cz-usa.com/products/view/612HC-P/

Horde Control - Pump......5+1 but I assume that mag extensions will be available. Had a feel of one today, no chance to shoot it though, something about customers returning fire...... It feels lighter than a Hatsan Escort, sights are clean enough but the red rear "tru-glo's" are not so good. The front sight is bright and sights are overall OK. Short stroke like the Hatsan too.

Seemingly made in Turkey by Akkar for CZ USA (I had their (AKKAR) semi auto Altay model a while back, it was mince, poor ejection) Thinks: did they not make shotguns for BSA /Webley a while back?????

$349 +Tax, hope we get one...

primer, that's what I thought too. The reach is pretty similar to the Hatsan MP but the Hatsan feels like it would cycle faster due to the shorter stroke on the slide.

It is lighter than the Hatsan which incidentally is pretty well sold out in the USA right now so we may well acquire one soon.

Both made in Turkey so bound to be similarities, I would prefer the Hatsan but CZ (CZ-USA) is a reputable make and I doubt they'd put their name on anything tacky - would they?

...$$$$ & profits RULE

Want to buy a Remington made gun, then see that you just spent Remington money on a Russian Baikal?

MOST of the big US firms are run by accountants....they're all about sales margins not the quality of the end product

Chances are that the $300 shotgun will cost them under $100 to buy in...cheaper than paying US wages to make a similar item? Possibly

Saddler, we need a "tongue in cheek" emoticon methinks.

A lot of "HOME MADE" stuff is rebadged. I saw US boxes in the HUGLU factory in Turkey a while back.

Of course it is all about profits, but at least they are not made in China - and spares should be easier to get for me :good: .

Horde Control Pump Action arrived yesterday bangbang bangbang bangbang - seems my colleagues did listen to me after all.

HC-P on receiver picked out in zombie zzzzom green for effect.

CZ -USA and Made in Turkey on the box.

COmes with one cylinder bore choke, manual and that's it. Ghost ring sights, picatinny rail and pistol grip as standard. Short stroke gun like a hatsan but a wee bit lighter, Hatsan feels more robust somehow but nowt wrong with this one, I prefer light weight guns anyway.

This one fits me just fine, like a Hatsan. Comes up just nice and sights are inline every time - sweet. the manual says take out the plug from the magazine to increase capacity but it came already set for 5+1. Looked online for accessories but not much so far, maybe Tac-Star does something. We might fit a barrel shroud at some point but other than that it's ready to go.

The desert areas are closed now due to fire risk so once we get a decent place to shoot it we'll do a report and hopefully some piccies /video. Loads of slug, bird and buck to put through it. Failing that I'll use it on an upcoming shotgun course and see how it holds up.
