At least you have as little idea as the rest of us! :shakeshout:

I was expecting your contribution would require the services of several code-breakers to decipher! ;)

LWR? No idea, I am an RFD and I still feel every bit as confused on occasion as I did all those years ago when I first picked up a rifle. We are all knowledgeable in our own fields yet move away slightly and confusion reigns. As an example I know nothing about lever action rifles and I even have one in the cabinet right now awaiting collection. I can show they are clear and safe and probably shoot the things but the finer details... no idea as they are not something I work with or shoot.

PS
3 of these are of generic application, though shooters might want them
PPS
At least one of these applies to shooting even though shooters probably don't want it.
PPPS
One of these applies to shooting but is not available to shooters generally.

The one (not that I recognise even half of yours Iain!) that confuses me is the name of the person from your local firearms department - people say 'FLO', FEO' and others I can't remember...

...I though your 'FLO' was you 'firearms liaison officer', who is a club member and liaises with the police (?)...so what's the official term for the copper who comes round for renewals etc...?

Thanks Iain :good:

Though I still had to do 2 google searches to find out what the 'E' was...so it's enquiry, not executive!

Good thread Demonic

I thought it was Enforcement :D I've also read the FEO being called FLO - Firearms Licensing Officer.
Thanks for that Ian, I get FFS out of the list ;)
