I had a driving without insurance - on my application I put "sometime between 1988 and 1991 - Croydon Magistrates Court"
It went through ok. I suspect if it's old news they won't worry too much about it.

I had 2 bald tyres and a defective handbrake on a soon to be scrapped Mini 1000 back in 1980, but couldn't remember any dates/court codes etc.
Northumbria told me to just give an approximate date and the description of ANY convictions and were happy with that.
