Advice on rifle safe
Hi Folks,
Saw this on amazon and it looks good vale for the size (I plan on initially having up to 3 rifles, with scopes).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HQ9ZFPM/ ... XHDU4TTAX4
It looks good value but cant find out much about them, opinions welcome.

Personally, I think 2mm steel gun-safes can be rather Flimsy.

I understand Brattonsound have a good reputation yet they are still 2mm thick.

Looks good. Looks identical to mine but with upgraded locks.
This is mine. Which I bought cheaper from eBay
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GDK-CABINET-X- ... NVB95FK29E
Pros
it passed police inspection no problem
It's gonna be plenty big enough for 3 but I find it a huge faf to get large scoped riffles in. I can't see it holding 6 without a lot of swearing but I guess they are all like that
Cons
Two keys is a pain in the ass mine is hard to lock you have to,lean hard on the door, but that mostly happened when I extra bolted it in.
Mine had 4 holes for fixing and it felt like I could just pull it from the wall. I drilled four more larger holes ( probably didn't need it) and chemicals bonded threaded bar into the wall. Good news is it was hard as hell to drill through
Oh and check which way you want the door opening mine opens the wrong way which I ordered in purpose to make it hard to get a crow bar in but wish I hadn't.

Re: Advice on rifle safe
I have found Infact Safes to be really good quality and value for money, this is where i ordered mine from. Great service. My advice is get the bigest you can accommodate and afford!

Re: Advice on rifle safe
General advise on gun safes.... always buy bigger than you think you'll need!!
When they describe a cabinet as "6 gun", reckon on getting 3 or 4 in there comfortably, so you don't scrape them past each other getting them in or out.

Re: Advice on rifle safe
I picked-up a 12-gun Infac for peanuts on eBay; cut the shelf out to take long barrels. Good solid safes.River wrote:I have found Infact Safes to be really good quality and value for money

Always remembering the Cabinet Rule that you always need 20% more cabinet space even when the Cabinet Rule has been taken into account.
