Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

This rule applies to the entire forum.

Its my local "bang-bang shop" too. :good:

It has a good balance of stock of rifles, shotguns and components + lots of naughty goodies like knives and torches that break budgets and irritate the minister of finance

Recent revamp is a big improvement - clapclap

As for the proprietor .....Joe always offers a cup of coffee and a biscuit (if you beg) or spend some womga!
You will always get "robust" advice and opinion from Joe but is is generally based on very sound knowledge and experience!
"He was wrong once in 1973 but is still subject to dispute"

Got my CZ527 .223 and scope there - installed right the first time. Cant ask for more!

He stocks Sierra in most calibres and is very well priced in fact! :good:

Bought my famed underwater zombie gun (the Saiga AK) from Joe, was very happy with the service and it was certainly a "well-stocked" shop! :o

I've known Joe for many years and he's a great guy.

My only problem I've had with him/his shop was way back when and I walked in, he said, "I have a nice 45 1911 for you".
I mentioned I had bought one from a club member since seeing him last, "What I'm really thinking off is a nice left-handed deer rifle and I like the look of the Desert Eagle - in 44Mag though," said I, thinking I was safe on both counts.
Long story short having only popped in for some ammo, I walked out with both rifle and pistol, making the slow trip home trying to work out what to say to the wife.

I still have the rifle, and the memories.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

My first time there today.

Purchased a cheap Serbian .308 sporter. Joe took the time to fit mounts and boresight the glass, and was very helpful and knowledgeable.

There was plenty of banter from what I guess to be regular clients.

Overall, a well stocked shop with fast, friendly service.

I'll shop there again.

Great to hear Joe is still there! Really helpful bloke when I started reloading 20 odd years ago! Does he still have customers fetching cakes and saving old phone books for his indoor testing facility :)
