HTA 90/22 Build Thread :-)

#1 Post by Adamdavi3s »

So I managed to snag one of these just before the brexit and brownells hiked the price by £80.

The very first thing I noticed is that I HATE the finish on it.
It just doesn't do it for me and marks really easily.

So I decided it would need painting, then I decided I wanted a better way of hiding the barrel than the fake plastic suppressor... Then a plan started to form.

I've decided to go "balls out" with it and give it a full zombie makeover, mostly for giggles and because I quite fancy the challenge!

Therefore this is my build thread where I can document every idiotic step into ruining a perfectly good chassis system aaarggh

It's here:

Haha the AK is just a knackered rusty old airsoft RIF I had kicking about under my work bench, seemed like something good to test paint on

Damn just noticed that the edit post is time limited so my placeholders are useless

Phew...for a moment there I thought a perfectly good AK had been desecrated :p

What's the rail fitted over the barrel?

it's an airsoft nitro rail, taking a little fettling to get it to fit

Build quality is better than the chassis :-D

Cool!

It'll be a very "marmite" build I think
