Intersting muzzle brakes which fit stand AR thread pitch

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Hello all,

I'm looking to replace the bog standard A2 bird cage on my M&P 15-22 and I'm looking for something a bit more interesting than the standard cylinder with a few holes drilled in it.

Its going on a .22lr so doesn't need to 'work' as in recoil reduction like a Lantac Dragon and would prefer it to be from the UK but as long as the company/maker is willing to send it here then that's fine.

I'd quite like a 'prong' style one like on the G36 or Steyr AUG, definitely don't like the 'fat' muzzle brakes like the Spikes Tactical Fat Spider.

any????

NWCP I believe. I was also looking on the Brownells website, they have lots, but I didn't look into thread compatibility. -

Out of interest, if it's just for cosmetics, have you considered an airsoft copy in a design of your choice?

I'd put one on in a heartbeat but I've not been able to find one with the correct thread pitch, they all see to be the airsoft standard 14M CCW :bad:

If anyone finds an airsoft site selling them with 1/2x28 please let me know!

Not 'different' enough for me but thanks for the idea! Plus I'd prefer one that won't annoy RO's blasting them with muzzle gas, I really need them on my side! lol

There wasn't so much side blast when i had it fitted to my 15-22, really offensive on a .223 though.
