Not all "Black Rifles" are ARs'.....

#1 Post by snayperskaya »

I decided to change the look of my AKM so ordered a Polish Tantal side folding stock set, which comprises the stock, pistol grip, reinforcement plate and handguards.Fitted them yesterday and created a Polish/Romanian hybrid and slapped in a Soviet aluminium waffle mag for good measure......a bit different to the traditional laminated birch but I will hang on to the Soviet stock set so I can swap and change as the mood takes me :good:

Very nice... :good: ussrflag

Saw this GDR style AK for sale, http://www.gunstar.co.uk/cugir-ak47-gdr ... les/881008 looks like one that Stewart was going to be doing but think this is one of Olegs converted by another dealer.

Yep, that's a Romanian Cugir Arsenal AKM with an East German stock set fitted, has the WaffenSchumacher markings on the righthand side of the receiver the same as mine. The DDR/NVA designation was MPi-KM for a fixed stock/stamped receiver version and MPi-KMS-72 for the wire sidefolder/stamped receiver variant

The DDR/NVA polymer fixed stock set with the dimples is commonly referred to as the "pebble", I believe the ones Stewart had listed were East German versions from LDT.....same deal as the SKSs'

I wanted to try a different look as all my other Russian rifles are wood, plus I'll hang on to the laminate so I can swap it around in minutes if I wanted to.
