That looks very much like the Mossberg MVP LC... but then according to that other recent post, Mossberg use Howa actions, so not surprising.

I do wonder why Ruger have not made a .223 version of their Precision Rifle, that would be my choice (finger crossed, before I save for a Remmi 700 in ACIS/MDT stock). However that does look good (except the paint finish - prefer a single colour [black]).

Howa and Weatherby use the same action - the MVP uses Mossberg's own (based on the 4X4 ).

I believe Howa's use a flat-bottomed action - not similar to the Mossberg.
