F-B(UK) 4/5/600 yard competition including F Class
Testing the water at this stage..
Would anyone be interested in shooting in an F-B(UK) 400/500/600 yard competition at Bisley?
Classes would be F/TR, F Open and other rifles. FO and F/TR would be open for true F Class rifles or those wishing to shoot these classes, however there would be a third class open to anyone who would like join in with the fun and has something different to shoot with. It could be a Service Rifle, or Target Rifle or a .270 Hunting rifle or something else. This class is really to get everyone else in and put them on an even footing with like minded shooters so it can be a .308 or whatever however entry's for this class by anyone using something lumpy and unsporting will be frowned upon!
Course of fire would be 2+15 at the three distances with the sighters being convertible, targets for the F Types will be F Class targets and for the other class will be traditional TR targets. I am hoping we will see a few entries in the third class and anyone who fancies a bash but does not have a suitable rifle is welcome to use my AccInt, you will need to supply your own ammunition if you want something classy, alternatively I will have some 7,62x51 milsurp available at what ever it cost me. I can help you vaguely with drops on the day. There will be no zero available nor cheeky sighters prior to the competition.
Entry fee is very dependant on the number of people that enter, I am hoping to keep the entry to around GBP15 for F-B(UK) members and a tad more for unbelievers. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each class
So you will need 6+45 bullets plus some waterproofs. I would hope to shoot this on a Saturday morning subject to getting the range booked in OK
Please note you will need a valid SCC and be a member of the NRA or an affiliated NRA club to shot this competition, if you are an affiliated member you will need to ask your club to book your attendance. If you are shooting HME you will need to prove zero on the day before shooting the competition so make allowances for this as the competition will start at 09:00 sharp.
I think that covers everything at this stage.
So who is up for it?

Depending on date etc, I would attend if I am not at work,
I was thinking about the McQueen comp today and was wondering if it would be helpful for the Met Office (weather) if we let them know when we are shooting so that they can let the rest of the country know that there will be rain over Bisley?

It was planned for about a month, all the days before and the days after have been fine. Just that Thursday it decided to come down in buckets, I blame 20series, he did the rain dance.
