^This.

I have an issue with M4 style semi-auto's (and straight-pull) and ear cans (MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X) and this hunched down style feels horrible, and in the case of a mate's LMT, I just can't even see through the scope, and his is on a riser as well!

No wonder I don't like style modern firearms lol

I'd happily shoot .22rf outdoors with my moulded-active CENS in-ear plugs which I use for shotgun shooting, as I can't seem to shoot shotgun's with any of the can ear-pro's I've ever owned, if I had to.....but as I have a GSG Stg.44, I can shoot that OK wearing the Sordin's.
Would you not recommend in ear for indoor shooting?

I use my in ear set (obtained from boots as I've used the same before) indoors when shooting .22 because our indoor ranges are a bit small and steel lined, I tend to use over ear too if shooting 9mm / 45 etc in handguns. 44/38 etc in underlever etc rifles is fine to use only the in ear.

if shooting rifle type chamberings I tend to pop the over ear on again. especially if someone is shooting something obnoxious that has a pressure wave that smacks you in the face.

Well s#!t.
PLEASE NOTE: Nottinghamshire police firearms licensing have currently suspended the grant/variation process as from the 1st March 2022.

Note - We will not be responding to emails relating to grant/variation enquiries unless there is a genuine vocational, professional or livelihood need for a certificate grant/variation.

GP reports submitted with grant applications when the grant portal re opens cannot be 6 months out of date.

Application for renewals are being processed in expiry date order, Firearm Enquiry Officer will contact you to make an appointment with regard to renewal.
Thats me scuppered for the foreseeable.

Nottinghamshire Police Suspending FAC grants

#26 Post by Triffid »

I picked this up from another thread. . .

"Nottinghamshire police firearms licensing have currently suspended the grant/variation process as from the 1st March 2022". (https://www.nottinghamshire.police.uk/a ... -licensing).

Bearing in mind that the Police are required to issue a FAC if the applicant meets the suitability/need criteria (the Regulations say that a Firearms Certificate shall be granted), is the suspension of the service legal?

What Home Office requirements mean reduced staffing?

"Please Note
As a result of Home Office requirements following the tragic events in Plymouth we have reduced staffing capacity until further notice. If your query or request is not urgent there will be a short delay in addressing it. We thank you for your patience."

Also seen this. I have not seen this for a variation before.

"Club attendance - all applications or variations must include a letter of club attendance to expedite the process."

I wonder if it is time to take firearms certification away from the Police to a specialist organisation?
Regards
Peter.

It should of been taken away from the Police that knows nothing about firearm ownership years ago.
