Fully automatic .22lr

I remember as a kid (in Africa) using a fully automatic .22 .. It had a drum
Mag mounted under it .. Kinda like a ppsh .. Ring any bells with anyone ?

The 180 could be another possibility. When it came out, I think it was the fastest .22 auto available, although that could just be a memory glitch on my part! :-

Those 180s are amazing to shoot.

If we could have them I'd give them away free if people would promise to buy their ammunition from me. :lol:

The 22lr version of Thompson, the Model 1927A3, could fit the description but was apparently only made in semi auto.

However, it seems you could get full auto sears for a Squires Bingham 22lr that was similar to the PPS50, but I can't find any pictures at the moment.

The 180 was developed to penetrate body armour hence the high cyclic rate.

The only full auto 22 I would have is one of these:

The Pietta is the current incarnation of .22 PPSh - as Squires Bingham is not around anymore (as far as I can tell)

The S~B WERE made a full auto versions, plus an RFD in the North East was jailed for converting them to S.5 a couple of decades back

Nice guns. Used one a while back...just not seen one when I have the funds spare/free slot on FAC
