Those of you that are going to receive offcuts start of next week may well notice some items which appear to be finished albeit scruffy SHED items. A word of warning, if they are in the package they came out of the bin so they will be scrap for some reason. A load of parts for comparators, guides, bipods and levelling systems were included and they will all be slightly wrong for whatever reason, it might be tapping or slotting or even anodising so please do not pass them onto other people as they are certainly not official SHED products, they are just there as handy bits of material to do stuff with.

Thanks for all your and Christels efforts.
I appreciate it I would not dream of passing any of it of to any one else. I have been playing with my small lathe to night I am getting better with tolerances and stuff. But it makes me realise the effort that goes into even a small item and how easy it is for it all to go wrong. I admire your work and appreciate the skill required to turn out the quality stuff you do.
Thanks again.

Yes, my thanks too - I'm sure the stuff will be very useful, really looking forward to receiving it.

You're not wrong there, I've spent the last two days fabricating and machining a part for a locomotive then junked it in the blink of an eye this afternoon when the milling cutter came adrift. Another lesson learned...

Alpha1,

That reminded me, please be careful when you open the box, some bits are sharp.

Just got mine too, my 2 year old has already "pinched" a bit!
Many thanks to both of you, there are loads of bits perfect for the lathe and mill and that's just what I can see from the top!
