As I said for the programs I run Microsoft is the only way for me. I have three computers I built all of them my self they all have windows 7 on them windows 10 was a experiment that failed badly. My main computer has 5 hard drives in it two of them are SSD drives(solid state drives.) My graphic card is top end. The mother board cost as much as some home computers. The CPU is a i5 can not remember how much memory but its a lot. I have 5 fans in it to keep it cool. Its a beast. But it does the job. Oh and I have a lap top as well a ipad a Samsung galaxy tablet a google Toilet and a kindle just in case we get bored. lol My computers very rarely break if they do I fix them all it costs me is the price of the parts. Up grading a desktop is easy.

I'm considering giving up on Windows 10. I've been used to Win XP and Vista. I know I can't 'rollback' as the PC was new with Win10.

I've checked online for Win 7 cd and license and see there are Home and Pro versions.

Some advice please? Which is best or any other version more stable please?

PC is set for 64bit. I realise this is a fresh install so all will be lost. Where best to buy please

Thank you

JohnG

Windows 10 is OK, but I've had to adapt to the way it wants me to work, rather than the more intuitive way I normally work. My biggest bugbear is you can't organise your start menu, create start menu folders or logically group your applications in any way whatsoever.

Why the f*^# did they do that?

It is their post modern business model.

Customers are only there for the benefit of the company, the company and its products are not there for the benefit of its customers.

There won't be any non-commercial customers if Microsoft don't get their act together.
