Parker Hale sights for smle

Hi is the Parker Hale Plus 5 folding sight particularly rare. I have seen mention of it but cannot find any having been offered or sold anywhere. Any information about this one would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Parker Hale 5A is not that rare but a good one on fleabay will go for £150+

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I know about the 5A but if you look on the pages you suggest looking at there is a later model 1939 I think called the 5 Plus. This model folded to facilitate bolt removal etc and it was this one I was asking about. Many thanks.

I think it is also known as the BSA9 but am not sure

you will also need to find the right mounting plate. I think your best bet is asking round the dealer at something like the Trafalgar held at Bisley in Oct

The Parker Plus 5 is similar but more robust, I had one on my 1905 Sht le.
I would suggest that they are scarce bordering on rare these days, in fact when I sold mine some 12 years ago I don't think I've seen one since.
