Taylors make some nice stuff.... at the WSC last year, all the "cowboy" stage weapons were Taylors ans they all looked and handled very nicely.

Most of the stuff they do are modified Uberti's, but Uberti don't make a 1894, and nor do Chiappa IIRC, so I wonder who is making this '94 for them...?Daryll wrote:Taylors make some nice stuff.... at the WSC last year, all the "cowboy" stage weapons were Taylors ans they all looked and handled very nicely.
I also didn't think they had a UK or Euro sales distributor either...?

Taylor's have a strong tie up with Chiappa so I would not be surprised if they are the maker. If that's the case it will come here through Edgar Brothers.

Doubt it, Edgar Bros aren't agents for Taylors.redcat wrote:Taylor's have a strong tie up with Chiappa so I would not be surprised if they are the maker. If that's the case it will come here through Edgar Brothers.
You have to order Taylors direct from USA......its a faff, and expensive. I emailed them about their modded 1873's last year. Would have been nearly £2k by time I got my hands on it here in UK.....and a Uberti 1873 Competition was only a fiver under £1k, so just no point....although I had to wait as long for the Uberti direct from Italy as I would have waited for a Uberti sent to USA, modified, and then sent over to the UK.
It's a shame as the stuff from Taylors, as well as Pioneer are really slick.

I'm not sure that Taylors actually make anything. I believe they are more like Cimarron and Navy Arms - they buy the stuff from Italy with their name on it.
