i was driving along Sutton Road in Sothend when one flew what felt like 10 feet above the car ,the ground shook and i thought it must have scared the Argies s*** before dropping its gifts ....

Black Buck 1 (XM607) got one of its 21 1000lb bombs on the runway. disabled it for 24 hours. the Book 'Vulcan 607' is a great read for anyone interested.

The black Buck missions were known to be largely unsuccessful, but they did show that they could reach Argentina if needed.

Black Buck 6 ended up emergency landing in Rio after the refuelling rig broke on the return trip (and only just made it there).

No it didn't, I saw with my own eyes just after the liberation of Port Stanley. The runway was intact with no repairs made to it, propaganda put out by Maggies government at the time.

Dont you hate it when you see written history and you know it is not so, because you were there when it happened, or didnt happen.
