My 284 will push the 180gr hybrids at 2880 fps easily on RS60. 52 grains will take it to 2900 fps. So my reakoning 7mm saum isn't as efficient as the 284.
56.7grs of N165 behind the hybrid in my 284 gives 2820fps.the saum needs 60.5grs for an extra 50 fps advantage

You can push the SAUM a fair bit quicker however I never saw any real accuracy advantage.

Yeah I've done the ballistic calculator figures and the advantage is only a small margin.an extra 80 fps above the 284 velocities is only 2 inches less drift at 1000yds in a 10 mph full value wind.the 7mm wsm is about the same advantage over the saum at 3060 fps.thats if all are running from 2880 fps with the 284. then 2950 with the saum then 3060 with the wsm

What is barrel length on your saum paa.
Mine is 28 inches.
