In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Kranks stock 45-60 Bertram Brass, but at £3.19 a case it is a lot cheaper to trim down 45-70

Aye I know about the Bertram but the fellow in question doesn't want to pay that price (I don't blame him) and he would prefer not to have to go down the case forming route if he can avoid it.

Re: .45-60 WCF
Thanks, Sim. Trying to avoid BP for the moment. I have that loaddata article. If I could have obtained the 292-grain Lyman bullet at a reasonable price (I was quoted £20 for 50!) powder choice would have been better. I have some Lee 240-grain and some 220-grain from dodgyrog so trials have started.
