Agreed on the TC's being better than the RNFP in the Marlin. I could only get some RNFP from my club shop recently but by upping the powder load they are shooting tighter groups. Again light loads at 25 yards or less and no signs of leading when cleaned.

I received my Lewis lead remover from Brownells, great. Get the instructions out, ok start with the forcing cone.

I am sure you will be able to machine a longer version. What's the material it's made out of.
