Yes please do let us know. Maybe that is why it says not for hand primer use.Ballistol wrote:Just primed 10 off 6.5 Creedmoor Starline brass with these.
Tight fit, very tight fit.
Almost impossible to seat with hand primer, still hard even using the press.
Will take some measurements tomorrow, to try and see if it’s the primers or the brass.

Using two different micrometers, the cup diameter measures .2114”, and .120” cup height.Christel wrote:Yes please do let us know. Maybe that is why it says not for hand primer use.Ballistol wrote:Just primed 10 off 6.5 Creedmoor Starline brass with these.

That’s about a thou bigger in both dimensions than the CCI primers I have.
I have tried them in other brass and they are tight but not as tight as in the Starline brass.
I suspect a tight primer pocket in the Starline is the major part of the problem as the CCI primers are also tight, but not as tight as the HK.
Re: HK Primers
The diameter exactly matches the mean diameter I measured for Ginex Large Rifle (Ginex were the largest primer diameter by about 0.0005" out of what I had to hand - Ginex, Murom, CCI200 and Fed 210M). However, the average overall cup depth I measured for Ginex was 0.1264", in fact the smallest individual primer I measured out of all the types (10 of each) was 0.1240".Ballistol wrote:Using two different micrometers, the cup diameter measures .2114”, and .120” cup height.
