Yes I spotted what it was. Very basic. Second hand small variable speed wood lathes are not that expensive. Mine was £150 and came with a load of tooling plus £50 for a chuck. I recovered my cost in the first four pens I made. I have just finished another Calligraphy set. They go for £185.00. So the lathe has more than paid for it self. I am currently busy working on xmas orders. .308 bullet pens sell like hot cakes to my shooting buddies.

That's an old video she has it well mastered now her pens sell on average at £120 each.
The bulk of my pens are made using her pen blanks. I turn them more or less as Pam does. Her lathe is way high spec compared to mine.
