Pens

#1 Post by Dellboy »

If this is the wrong place im sorry about that please move to the correct one .

I received a very nice cased pen from Alpha before Christmas and should have thanked him for it before now , unfortunatelly a close family member passed away and my workload increased .

But anyway i would like to compliment him on his workmanship and quality and thank him.

Nice pen to use and different to the normal cheapy BIC .

Thank you I am glad you like it.
If it is a ball pen or rollerball it will accept standard Parker refills. If you have any issues with it let me know and I will replace it.

Christmas 2020 was a very busy time of year for me pen making wise I am just winding down. Word is getting around. Most of my sales come from recommendations.
I have just invested in some new tooling I am not a fan of rollerballs and try not to make them. I prefer ball pens but my real passion is fountain pens. The new tooling will help me to make fountain pens as good a quality as pens selling for hundreds of pounds. I have sourced some original material used by Conway Stuart to create their pens. I better start knocking some out the tooling cost just short of £400 in total. Once I get set up the only bought in items for the fountain pens will be BOCK nibs from Germany. The ink pump and maybe a clip if I decide to use one.
Anyway, that's enough of that back to shooting.

Simply put the ink cartridges are different and the pens internals and dimensions are slightly different.

All the fittings on the calligraphy pen are 316 stainless. Then polished. All made in the UK.

An informative video. I used to love wood turning and made a few bobbins but never pens. My favourite is African black wood and we still have a few little bowls, caskets and cups dotted around the house.

I am not so keen on people who have stools or chairs near machinery, it is an accident waiting to happen. Same goes for cluttered work areas. Our workshop counter has a stool at it and is close to the machine shop so that is where I normally go.
