If you are making it or modifying it, repairing it or restoring it, it goes in here.

Rossi R92 extractor

#1 Post by Lampuki »

Hi folks

I’m having issues re extracting .357-38sp cases from my Rossi r92.
It’s chucking out the odd spent case but the majority get stuck leaving me to wriggle them out with my fingers.

I took to loading single rounds to see if that made a difference but to no avail.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to a worn extractor but I’m no expert and wondered if anyone can help?

Cheers

I had an extractor that broke after the same issues, it was hard to find a replacement.
Try A & A Gunsmiths, it was not that difficult to replace.

Yep, another vote for A&A.. I bought a "hardly used" Rossi and found one of the screws holding the cartidge guide was missing (probably why it was hardly used!!).

I spoke to A&A and they said a Winchester screw would probably fit, they supplied one, and they were right.. :good:
