It seems that every man and his dog agrees that this government is apparently useless in dealing with covid. But what countries can you hold up as;
(a) totally eliminated or have under control their covid infections and

(b) not screwed their economies up and are operating completely normally.

North Korea apparently is covid free and a couple of small Pacific islands have by completely isolating have almost no cases. China claims to have the outbreak under control and having started the whole thing off are now making money selling the world much needed PPE.

For the countries that have it under control, can you really give all the credit to the governments? You mentioned some interesting cases. New Zealand are very notable of course but they have a population density that is less than 10% of ours. Even China is about half of ours. As for North Korea... well what can I say there?

Our closest European "competitors" in terms of population density are Belgium (slightly higher) and Germany (slightly lower). Belgium currently have 8000 new cases per day and Germany 6500. We are currently higher than those but there was of course the screw up with reporting the tests which has skewed the results somewhat. We really won't know how it has affected any country until its all over...
