It got me thinking, a 12/24 version of this would be uk legal? Any thoughts?

for what purpose?

i can't see it being a sec2 shotgun as how would that work with mags?

It would never be section 2 but section 1 is doable due to 24/40 rule only being for pumps and semis. Just thought it might be nice to talk about.

Don't see why not. Lever action shotguns are allowed with short barrels under Section 1. Poor wording as usual in the law as I suspect the intent was to prohibit all similar mechanisms :)

you need to have justification for sec1 shotguns, so what would you use this one for?

i have them for cowboy and practical, would this mechanism be usefull for practical? I would have thought it would be slower firing than pump, but faster reloads, but can you have mag fed in pump? and if it had to be grouped with mag fed semis, then you would still be slower.

It would be valid for target shotgun, assuming a class exists (presumably an 'open' class would cover it). Of course, it may not be the best solution, but thankfully we aren't restricted to buying the fastest, most accurate or best guns for a particular application. If you want to use an O/U, SxS or Greener GP you could... you probably wouldn't win though :)

You want to under sling it on an AR don't you, don't try to deny it! bangbang lol

It would be S1 if it complied with the 12/24 rule and just asking for "Multi-shot shotgun, bolt-action, target shooting" on the variation might be enough, especially if you already have S1 shotguns on your ticket.

Would certainly turn some heads in a multi-gun/3 Gun comp (even if you did lose every time!)

I really like the look of this, what is the likelihood of it coming to the UK though?

It would, also if you want anything Vepr related, buy now. They are looking like the are going under and KC is the only buyer so far and they minute KC owns them lock stock and barrel they are under the sanctions and there aint any sign of those going away yet.....
