Did a round of clays today and as usual at around the 45 shot mark I get a light strike which is also off centre on the primer.
I'm not sure if its the same barrel as I never remember to check, doh! After waiting 30 seconds I re chamber it and it fires.
Any Ideas whats going on? like I said it seems to be when the gun gets warm after around 45/50 shots.
The gun is a Webley Gamebore 12g
Light strike and off centre......

Re: Light strike and off centre......
Gun is a classic game not a gamebore but probably the same at the end of the day.
Just cleaned it and there was a lot of gold shavings from cartridges in the action???
Seems like its "shaving" them when the guns closing and maybe clogging something up?

A light strike once is not a Hugh problem but if it continues
then there might be something wrong that needs looking at.
As to the off centre, the pins are not straight and parallel to the
cartridge, they are at a slight angle so the light strike might look
off centre but as the pin hits harder and makes more of an
impression it dents the primer more centrally.
