Pump Action feed issues with shorter cartridges

#1 Post by Ovenpaa »

Has anyone experienced feed issues with shorter cartridges in P/A shotguns. My Manufrance is fine with 67mm however drop a couple of mm and the cartridge swivels within the lifter unless cycled very slowly and deliberately. Of course the easy answer is just use longer cartridges however a lot of light loads such as the 19-21 gram range are a tad shorter, these are the ones I had hoped to put through it and are the ones that cause the issues.

I had intermittent problems with 2.5" cartridges in a Supernova, but in fairness that has a 3.5" chamber so its unsurprising. I didn't come up with a 'solution' other than to use 2.75" cartridges though.
