I've been looking at one of these for a while and was pretty impressed with the one I handled at the shooting show a few weeks ago. The only issue I have with it is the drainpipe of a barrel looks terrible. Does anyone know if something like one of the Dissident Arms handguards or any other similar ones could be made to fit? Also, what about the possibility of getting the barrel shortened and a muzzle brake like a GK-03 permanently attached? Is there anyone who could do that type of work?

this could be done, but as with all the aftermarket hand guards you have to remove the existing hand guard retainer. this means either cutting it off(easiest way) or trying to remove pins from gas block, then sliding block off then existing retainer. This will void your Armsan 3 year Warranty.
the barrel could be shortened, but the muzzle brake will have to be permanently attached to comply with UK 24" overall barrel length requirements, then you will need a dissident arms 50mm diameter hand guard to slide over the brake, and the barrel internally re threaded to take chokes, as the standard barrel has internal threaded chokes at end. this will cost a LOT of money to do.
this is what the dissident Arms KL12 has done(Brilley do barrel and choke work for them in USA)
Nigel Teague of Teague thin wall chokes can do the barrel /choke work, but you will pay a lot. you may as well order a KL12 and be done, as it has all other mods required(trigger, guide rod enhancement, ambi safety & magazine release, plus internal component polishing/tuning ).£5000 approx and a 6 month + wait.
as with most things, its all possible, for a price!!!
