EU want to ban all lead ammunition in firearms, not just for live quarry.

Illegitimates!

Banning lead is quite sensible ooman. Lead is toxic and can cause a slow lingering death. Always best to shoot something with a bullet that gives as quick and painless a death as possible, surely ? You need to use something with low cost, economically and environmentally, and which is easily processed and shaped too. For ballistic efficiency it needs high mass, and the ability to deform rapidly upon impact would be useful. To ice the cake and gold plate the lily, it would be nice if the stuff could be dug up out of the ground and returned to it after use. We badgers got round this problem ages ago. We use the element, plumbum, sometimes alloyed with a little stibnum and stannum. All entirely natural.

You will need to run harder it isn't working.

I believe the best our representatives are doing for us is suggesting the phasing of the introduction of the ban.

At least it was good news regarding the report from The Lead Ammunition Group!
Not that I'm saying they included a bunch of dissembling chancers with an axe to grind mind ;-)
