Tomorrow is the start of the grouse season, also called the Glorious Twelfth.
The grouse season is super important for the management of moorland as it generates valuable income.

Agreed, until you actually Witness the conservation and good done on the moors in PERSON it is a non starting debate for me.

Too many armchair “packhams” about.

The Government thought the same when taking the petition on board, Defra was given the green light to continue with the excellent management system they have in place run by many very skilled game keepers and similar within the countryside.

There are a lot of people who will never be convinced that rearing and shooting birds for fun and profit is acceptable.

Another reason why your argument is a non starter, you clearly have no grasp on what is actually happening.

However I do understand you don’t want to kill things, that is a separate issue which no amount of conservation is going to convince you.
