Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.

If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

Quite amazing when you consider we come with built in highly developed genocide and war making qualities, cruelty and indifference to each others suffering, not too mention the ability we have to feed the starving and cure many common ills which we choose not to do. So surprising we are doing so well breeding wise and that is without the existential threats of pestilence, asteroid collision and getting eaten by a giant space goat.

Mind you this global warming thing must just be the killer we are looking for that might do us in, just that is likely to take a lot of the other species with us. What is badgers plan for survival as things "hot up" even more?

We were wandering around a 68,000 acre estate a bit ago and the subject of Fox cropped up. Apparently shooting Fox was very much frowned upon in that part of the Wolds and it was remarked upon that Foxes were shot in our part of the Wolds with some disdain. I noticed the Viking smile when she heard that.
