Saddler has added to his sale post with a 'Bump' which pushes it back to the top.

Correct, it is a common forums technique to get posts back to the top. There are even emoticons for the purpose.

Col,

Saddler's posts are not in the for sale section - they are in his own section.

If you are viewing posts from the "new posts" tab - then once viewed, they will no longer be under that tab - it is not a separate forum, it is a short search facility to show posts which YOU have not read.

Any "bump" will then make it reappear under the "New Posts" header.

Try a "bump" to your ad and see what happens.
